Four UTEP Football Games Picked Up For National Television

Four UTEP football games will be nationally televised this fall, including three on the CBS College Sports Network (formerly CSTV) and another on ESPN2. ESPN2 will have coverage of UTEP's matchup with UT-Austin on Sept. 6 at the Sun Bowl. Kickoff has been set for 8:15 p.m. MST. CBS College Sports Network will carry the Miners' game versus defending C-USA champion UCF at home, and road games against defending C-USA Western Division champion Tulsa and 2007 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl champion East Carolina. The UCF game is slated for Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. MST. The Tulsa game is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. MST. The East Carolina game has been moved from Saturday, Nov. 29 to Friday, Nov. 28 (the day after Thanksgiving) with an 11 a.m. MST start time. Counting this fall's games, UTEP has had 22 contests nationally televised since Mike Price took over as head coach in 2004 - eleven on the CBS College Sports Network/CSTV, four on ESPN2, three on ESPN, three on the i Network (formerly PAX) and one on ESPNU. Prior to 2004, a total of three UTEP games were nationally televised - one each in 1988, 1995 and 2000.
