OGDEN, Utah - In its last meet of the Indoor track season, Utah Valley had a strong showing at the Weber State Invitational.

Ashley Timo broke her own school record in the Indoor high jump established in the first meet of the season at BYU by jumping 5' 7" or 1.70 meters, this came on the tail of her season best in the Long Jump with a mark of 17' 8.25".

The senior/freshman sprint duo of Mariama Salifu and Natasha Martin recorded their second consecutive one-two finish as they pulled away from the field over the final 25 meters. Impressive in their finishes as Salifu has been unable to practice since our past meet in Pocatello, ID with a severe viral infection and Martin has been mainly limited to bicycle workouts with foot issues.

Chase Englestead made his seasonal debut in the 800m with a victory and a time of 1:56.68.

"This is the speed we are expecting Chase to utilize in the 3000 meter Steeplechase when he makes his seasonal debut at Arizona State in 4 weeks at the Baldy Castillo Invitational," UV associate head coach Kirke Adamson said.

After nearly 3 years without a hurdle race Andrew Graham returned to make his debut and follow the lead of freshman Cory Pierson as each set personal records with times of 8.01 and 7.97, respectively, as they finished 4th and 5th.

The Wolverines will have a month to prepare for the outdoor track season as UV will begin its outdoor season at Arizona State on March 21.
