Nelson in Second Place at Cal Poly Intercollegiate :: Final round to be played Friday morning

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. - Utah Valley junior Nick Nelson fired a pair of 1-under 71's and is tied for second thru two rounds at the Cal Poly Intercollegiate at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande, California.

Nelson (-2) is tied with Cal Poly's Brycen Wagner and two shots back of leader Nick Delio of Cal State Northridge with 18 holes left to play on Friday.

The Wolverines are in eighth place overall, two shots behind South Carolina Upstate. Cal Poly is in the team lead and five strokes in front of Cal State Northridge.

Senior Jeff Gibson is tied for 26th at +8 overall while freshman Brad Bills, playing in his first tournament of the season, is at +14 and tied for 52nd.
