Three Games in Two Days Against Utah

March 28, 2008

OREM, Utah - In-state play will continue for Utah Valley as the Wolverines will play three games against Utah this weekend beginning with a noon game in Orem Saturday.

The three-game series will wrap up with a double header in Salt Lake City on Sunday beginning at 12 p.m.

UV will be looking for its first win against an in-state opponent. The Wolverines dropped a double header to Utah State on Tuesday to big play against teams from the Beehive State.

Utah is coming off a twinbill split against the Aggies on Thursday.

Utah holds a 10-0 series lead over Utah Valley in the Wolverines fourth year at Division I status. The Utes are the only team from the state of Utah that UV hasn't defeated at least once.

The Utes sport a 2.81 team ERA entering this weekend's games. Utah is led from the plate by Diana Phillips' .388 batting average. Kara Foster delivers the power for the Utah bats as she has hit an impressive 10 home runs in 32 games this season.

Alli Bramwell and Heidi Stocks lead the Wolverines from the batters' box and the pitchers circle. Bramwell leads the team with a .357 batting average and four pitching wins while Stocks has a team-best 4.81 ERA while hitting .348.
