New York, NY - A number of athletes from the indoor track and field team competed at the NYU Fastrack Invitational the past weekend in a non-team scoring event.

Junior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/Del Oro) took a stab at both the 1 mile and 3000m run, placing 11th in the mile (5:10.36) and 12th in the 3000m (10:21.01). Freshman pole vaulter Mishelle McNamara (West Covina, CA/West Covina) cleared 3.10m, finishing in a seventh place tie with seven other athletes while junior Alaina Alfano (Hanover Park, NJ/Hanover) finished third in the long jump with a leap of 5.67m. sophomore Amanda Gland (Woodbury, CT/Nonnewaug) rounds out the competition for the women, as she put together a 10.97m effort in the triple jump, good for 12th place.

On the men's side, sophomore James Johnston (Middle Island, NY/Longwood) ran a 4:29.01 mile as senior Bryan Pagliuca (Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot) cleared 1.92m in the high jump.

The Seahawks will send a number of athletes to the IC4A/ECAC Championships on March 7-8th in Boston, MA.
