Boston, MA - Freshman Coleman Edmond (Kingston, NY/Harmony Prep MI) sped past the competition at the 87th annual IC4A Track & Field Championships where he took ninth place in the 55m dash.

Edmond's qualifying time of 6.40 was the ninth best out of the preliminary round while his semi-final time of 6.44 ranked him sixth out of the qualifiers and pushed him into the finals. In the final round, Edmond put forth a 6.67 second effort, good for ninth place.

Fellow teammate Bryan Pagliuca (Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot) put his jumping skills to work, clearing 2.01m in the high jump, finishing in eighth place.

Junior Alaina Alfano (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) also took a shot at the long jump, putting together a 5.28m bound that was good for 17th place.

The Seahawks will now move into the elements as the outdoor season kicks off Friday, March 14th as the Green & White head south to Richmond, VA where they will take on Virginia Commonwealth University.
