GREENSBORO, Ga. - The 2008 ACC Football Kickoff weekend officially began on Saturday with the players arriving to the Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga. Two student-athletes from each ACC school are invited to attend the conference's media weekend event. Seniors Aaron Curry and Alphonso Smith are on hand to represent Wake Forest.

Curry and Smith were part of a 24-player contingent that arrived on Saturday. Before the interview portion of the weekend begins on Sunday, the players were treated to dinner and some golfing activites on the grounds.

The players were able to take some swings on the driving range, getting tips from golf pros on hand. They also competed in a putting competition that pitted players from the Atlantic Division against those from the Coastal.

Curry and Smith will meet with the media on Sunday. Coach Jim Grobe will then meet with the media on Monday afternoon.
