Soccer Teams Announce Spring Schedules

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's soccer teams have announced the 2008 spring schedules, which feature a combined five matches at Spry Stadium.

2008 Men's Spring Schedule
Jay Vidovich's squad will host the first of four spring matches at Spry Stadium on March 20, welcoming ACC rival Duke at 7 p.m. On Saturday, March 29, Wake Forest will host High Point at 12 p.m., then hit the road for a night exhibition contest with the Carolina Railhawks at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.

The Deacs will continue ACC play with North Carolina at 7:30 p.m. at Spry Stadium on Friday, April 4, followed by the New Mexico Lobos on April 11 at 7 p.m. An April 20 road contest against Creighton in Omaha, Neb. will complete the 2008 spring series for the Demon Deacons.

2008 Women's Spring Schedule
The women's team will begin spring exhibition action this weekend in Cary, N.C., playing back-to-back contests against Duke and Florida on Saturday, with a tentative 11 a.m. start. On March 29, Tony da Luz's squad will play a similar style match-up in Athens, Ga., facing the Southeastern Conference schools Georgia and Tennessee.

Wake Forest will host its only spring match on April 4, hosting local rival Davidson at 5 p.m. The Deacs will wrap up exhibition play on April 12 at the ACC Spring Tournament on BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, beginning at 11 a.m.
