ATLANTA, Ga. - Four Wake Forest competitors advanced past the preliminary rounds of the sprint/mid distance events on the second day of the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships and will continue to the final rounds, set for Saturday morning.
On the women's side, Nicole Castronuova will compete in the 200m dash, after running a qualifying time of 23.94 on Friday. Michelle Loyd's 58.71 finish in the 400m hurdles was also a top conference mark.
Jon Reid will represent Wake Forest in the men's 400m dash, qualifying with a 47.34 mark, while Phillip Warsaw will continue competition in the 400m hurdles event with a 52.37 finish.
Other Wake Forest athletes set to compete in the final day of championships are the men's and women's 4x400m and 4x100m relay teams, Molly Kennedy (triple jump), Anna Nosenko (1500m), Nosenko, Whitney Curry, Merry Placer, Caitlin Chrisman (5000m), Patrick Russell, Jeremy Fisico, Mark Russell, Matt Owen (5000m), Thomas Sensing (discus), Javin Hutchinson (triple jump), and Taylor Wildman (pole vault).
