Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina men's basketball assistant coach Bobby Woollum resigned from his position on the Catamount coaching staff on Monday announced WCU head coach Larry Hunter. Woollum has accepted a sales position with Russell Athletics and will be based out of Richmond, Va.

The search for his replacement will begin immediately.

Woollum was the first staff member appointed by Hunter upon his arrival in Cullowhee in 2005, returning to the coaching profession after a five year hiatus. Prior to that, he spent seven years on the bench along side his father, Charlie Woollum, then head coach of the Tribe.
