Catamount Football / Habitat for Humanity Photo Gallery

Cullowhee, N.C. - On its first scheduled off-day of 2008 Spring Practice, nearly 20 Catamount football players spent Wednesday afternoon aiding Jackson County Habitat for Humanity on one of its current projects in the Cullowhee area.

The Catamounts aided worksite crew supervisor, Sandy Bishop, in working various projects on the house including roofing and landscaping during a four-hour work session on-site.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller and his wife, Linda, HFHI has built more than 250,000 houses around the world.

Western Carolina resumes spring drills on Thursday afternoon with its first practice in full pads on the turf at E.J. Whitmire Stadium / Bob Waters Field.
