CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball went 4-4 in its spring tournament on Saturday.
The tournament was a round-robin setting with six teams competing. Every contest was a set to 25 which helped determine seeding for tournament play. In the tournament portion, it was double elimination with each match played to 25.
Western Carolina went 3-2 in pool play and 1-2 in the tournament. Jelena Jakovljevic led the Catamounts with 30 kills. She was followed by Kara Lynzee Brooks who had 28 kills. Setter Katie Hennessey had 69 assists and Jessica Whitley tallied seven service aces.
The Catamounts will travel to Gardner-Webb next weekend in one of two final spring tournaments.
