CLEVELAND, Miss. - Saturday's game between the #9 Delta State Statesmen and the reigning GSC Champion West Florida Argonauts was cancelled due to cold and wet weather in Cleveland, Mississippi. The series is a rematch of post season play last season, in which the Argos got the best of the Statesmen on the way to winning the Gulf South Conference championship, and a win in the South Regional NCAA tournament.

The two teams will try to play a doubleheader on Sunday, despite high temperatures of about 40 degrees. The series is a prelude to conference play which begins next weekend for UWF, as they travel to Montevallo. The Argos are in the middle of their schedule, and the back to back road series for the preseason ranked 29th Argos, are against two top 25 teams in Delta State and Montevallo.
