MILWAUKEE - Green Bay (13-12, 7-8) fell shy in its attempt to earn a season split with arch rival Milwaukee (13-11, 8-6) Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Arena, as the Panthers closed the game by scoring 29 of the game's last 37 points to pick up a 66-56 victory. The game featured a series of extended runs from both sides.

Milwaukee jumped out to an 18-7 advantage in the first eight-plus minutes on the strength of four 3-point baskets. However, Green Bay recovered to take a two-point lead just three minutes later with a 14-1 spurt. Milwaukee native Troy Cotton had eight straight points in a span of 1:18, which included a pair of treys.

Green Bay trailed by one, 33-32, at intermission, but the Phoenix opened up the second half with a 13-0 run over the first six minutes to take a 45-33 advantage. In all, Green Bay held Milwaukee scoreless for nearly 10 minutes, from 3:40 left of the first half until 14:00 remaining in the game.

However, the Phoenix suffered through a drought of its own, as Milwaukee staged an 18-0 run when Green Bay went more than nine minutes without a point. The end result was the Panthers taking a 55-48 lead with just four minutes left.

Rahmon Fletcher led the Phoenix with 15 points, while Ryan Tillema hit for 11. Milwaukee outscored Green Bay 32-14 in the paint and 27-7 on second-chance points.

Green Bay returns to action Wednesday at Youngstown State. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. (ET)/6:05 p.m. (CT).
