MUNDELEIN, Ill. - The Green Bay men's golf team got off to a hot start at the eight-team Caputo Invitational Monday, hosted by Loyola University Chicago at Pine Meadow Golf Course.

The Phoenix was in third place after the first round, but a tough second round pulled Green Bay back to fifth overall.

Garrett Gosh is in 10th place after two rounds of four-over 76 to pace Green Bay. Travis Meyer is second on the Phoenix with an 11-over 155 to tie for 16th in the 50-golfer field.

Adam Austreng (T-19, 156), Aaron Pearson (T-26, 159) and Brady Mork (T-28, 160) rounded out the Green Bay squad.

Host Loyola leads the way with a two-stroke lead over Creighton, but Bluejay golfer John Sutko was one of only three golfers to break par for a round and is two-over after two rounds.

Tuesday's final round is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m.
