The Green Bay men's tennis team (1-2) dropped a 6-1 decision to Southern Illinois Sunday in a neutral court contest.
Senior Tim Prudlow registered a three-set victory at No. 1 singles for Green Bay's lone point. After winning the first set 7-6 and then dropping the second set 6-4, Prudlow rallied with a 6-1 win in the third set.
Green Bay also tallied a win at No. 2 doubles, as Matt Keesey and Matt Clegg combined for an 8-6 victory, but the Phoenix was unable to get the doubles point with setbacks at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Brian Zaron also had three-set match, but could not best SIU's Sebastian Rubiano in a 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 loss at No. 5 singles.
Green Bay returns to action Saturday, Feb. 9 when the Phoenix heads to the Twin Cities to face the University of Minnesota at 10 a.m.
