FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Green Bay men's tennis team picked up its second win of the season in the first match of a doubleheader Friday against Niagara, defeating the Purple Eagles 5-2.

Senior Mark Goldin and sophomore Matt Clegg were two-time winners for the Phoenix. Goldin, who paired with Tim Prudlow at No. 1 doubles, combined for a convincing 8-0 win before a three-set thriller at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 5-7, 6-1.

Clegg helped seal the doubles point, matching with Matt Keesey for a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles. Clegg then went on for a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles.

John Brough and Eric Plaushines finished off the win for Green Bay, winning at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively, in straight sets.
