FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Green Bay men's tennis team (4-4) continued its upswing in its visit to Indiana on the weekend, culminating with a 7-0 sweep of St. Francis (Pa.) Saturday afternoon.

While Green Bay's top two singles players rested, all six singles players moved up two slots on the match sheet with strong finishes. Matt Clegg was the most convincing at No. 1 singles, firing a pair of shutouts in his 6-0, 6-0 win.

Matt Keesey followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win in his first appearance at No. 2 singles, while Eric Plaushines dropped only two games in his No. 4 singles match. Mike Wesley made his first singles appearance on the year, posting a 6-0, 6-2 win.

Brian Zaron and John Brough rounded out Green Bay's victories in singles action, as all six wins were in straight sets.

In doubles play, Keesey and Clegg paired for the first time at No. 1 doubles and came away with an 8-3 win. Plaushines and Zaron were winners at No. 2 doubles while Brough and Wesley rounded out the sweep at No. 3 doubles.

Green Bay returns to action Feb. 23 when the Phoenix takes on Michigan State at 4 p.m.
