Men's Tennis Bested By Michigan State 7-0
Feb. 23, 2008 EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Green Bay men's tennis team (4-5) dropped a 7-0 result at Michigan State Saturday evening. Although the Spartans swept the doubles point and the singles matches by straight sets, Green Bay battled close throughout the match. In doubles action, Tim Prudlow and Mark Goldin faced nationally-ranked Nick Rinks and Adam Monich, but the Michigan State pair prevailed in a hard-fought 8-4 match. Green Bay had strong showings in singles action by Eric Plaushines and Prudlow. Plaushines dropped a 6-4, 6-4 result at No. 6 singles while Prudlow lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles in the longest singles match of the day. The Phoenix returns to action Sunday against the University of Chicago. |
