INDIANAPOLIS - The Green Bay men's tennis team lost a nail-biting 4-3 match with perennial Horizon League champion Butler Saturday afternoon at the Butler Bubble.

Green Bay took the early lead with a sweep of doubles play. Mark Goldin and Tim Prudlow posted an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles, while Brian Zaron and Eric Plaushines matched the score at No. 3 doubles.

Matt Keesey and Matt Clegg needed extra time to tally a 9-8 (10-5) win at No. 2 doubles for the sweep.

But Butler rallied in singles action, taking No. 2 through No. 5 singles to earn the victory. Green Bay's Prudlow came back from a first-set loss for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Ben Raynauld at No. 1 singles.

The Phoenix also got a victory at No. 6 singles, where Brian Zaron was a 6-1, 7-5 winner over Sam Brown.
