Men's Tennis Tops Colgate 4-3

FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Green Bay men's tennis team posted a 4-3 victory Monday over Colgate, as the team got its spring break trip in Florida off on the right foot.

Senior Mark Goldin was a two-time winner for Green Bay, winning in a three-set tiebreaker at No. 3 singles over Tyler Deck. Goldin also paired with Tim Prudlow at No. 1 doubles for an 8-3 victory.

After falling behind early as Colgate nabbed the doubles point, Green Bay came back in singles action for the win. Along with Goldin's three-set victory, Eric Plaushines also tallied a three-set win, rallying after dropping the first set for a 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.

Matt Clegg and Brian Zaron each had straight-set wins, with Clegg's 6-1, 6-1 victory coming at No. 2 singles. Zaron was victorious at No. 5 singles.

Green Bay is back in action at Florida Gulf Coast Tuesday.
