OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Green Bay men's tennis team (8-9) tallied its second straight win Friday night in an 8-1 non-conference match win at UW-Oshkosh.

Eric Plaushines and Brian Zaron led the way for the Phoenix, as the tandem paired for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles and went on for straight set victories at No. 4 and No. 2 singles, respectively.

Green Bay took the early 1-0 lead, as an 8-3 win by Mark Goldin and Tim Prudlow at No. 1 doubles matched with Plaushines and Zaron's victory for the event's first point.

With a shuffled lineup in singles, Green Bay moved up its singles matches up two spots in most positions. Matt Clegg posted a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles while Mike Wesley tallied his second straight win at No. 6 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 decision.

John Brough needed a third-set tiebreaker for his win at No. 3 singles, while Matt Keesey rounded out the Phoenix victories with a 6-2, 6-0 mark at No. 5 singles.

Green Bay returns to action Saturday, April 5 with its home match against Valparaiso at 3 p.m. at the Fox Cities Racquet Club in Appleton, Wis.
