INDIANAPOLIS - The Green Bay men's tennis team wrapped up its 2008 campaign Sunday morning, as the Phoenix lost to Butler 4-0 in the third-place match of the Horizon League Championships.

Butler claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Green Bay's Mike Wesley, who saw his first action of the postseason, paired with Eric Plaushines for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

Plaushines kept his momentum into singles action, where he was a game away from a two-set sweep at No. 6 singles. But Butler grabbed quick victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles to capture enough points for the win.

Green Bay finished the season with a 12-13 record overall.
