Green Bay women's basketball coach Matt Bollant announced June 6 the completion of his staff with the addition of Mike Divilbiss as an assistant coach. Divilbiss (pronounced duh-VIL-bus) arrives in Green Bay following a successful career as a head coach both at the Division I and NAIA levels. Most recently, Divilbiss posted an 82-119 record in seven seasons with Idaho, where he guided the Vandals to back-to-back Big West Conference title games in 2004 and 2005. Along the way, Divilbiss was the 2004 Big West Coach of the Year. "I am really excited about the opportunity coach Matt Bollant has provided me and my family," said Divilbiss. "The people at Green Bay were important in my decision, and Matt is the type of coach I love to work with and work for. I am eager to be a part of the success of Green Bay women's basketball. My wife and I are also excited to come home after 23 years; our roots are in the Midwest." Divilbiss also served as the head coach at Lewis-Clark State College for 14 seasons, where he boasted a 310-122 mark and guided the Lady Warriors to six NAIA National Tournament appearances. For his 21-year head coaching career, Divilbiss tallied a 392-241 record for a .619 winning percentage. "With 21 years of collegiate head coaching experience, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge in every facet of the game," said Bollant. "Mike has a great basketball mind. He will make a difference in our program with intensity, passion and recruiting contacts. We are excited to welcome his family to Green Bay." |
