GREEN BAY, Wis. - Lavesa Glover, a junior center on the Green Bay women's basketball team, was named the Horizon League Player of the Week March 10. It is the first honor of her career, as she becomes the third different Green Bay player to be recognized this season.

Glover averaged 26.5 ppg in two home wins as the Phoenix center scored a career-high 34 points in Green Bay's overtime win against Wright State on March 6. For the week, Glover shot 72.2 percent from the field, while her 34 points were the most by any Phoenix player since 2000 and fifth-best in team history.

Green Bay (25-4) begins postseason play Wednesday when it hosts Loyola at 7 p.m. in the Horizon League quarterfinals. Should Green Bay win, the Phoenix will host the remainder of the championship, with semifinal action Friday, March 14 and the championship game on Sunday, March 16.
