Cold Temperatures Cancel Softball Games
April 26, 2008
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Mother Nature again was unkind to the Green Bay softball team, as the Phoenix had its scheduled home double header with Butler canceled due to cold temperatures. Horizon League policy states that a game cannot be played when the "feels like" temperature, which factors in wind chill, is under 35 degrees. Green Bay has now lost 10 games this season, including nine league contests, due to weather. Instead of playing just a single game on Sunday morning, a double header with the Bulldogs now is set to begin Sunday at 11 a.m. at Ben Garot Field on the UW-Green Bay campus. --www.uwgbathletics.com-- |
