Women's Tennis Falls 7-0 to Dayton

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Green Bay women's tennis team (0-3) was defeated Saturday by the University of Dayton 7-0 in a neutral court contest.

Green Bay claimed an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles as Emily Lawent and Lauryn Grimando paired for the victory. But Dayton took wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to claim the doubles point.

In singles play, Green Bay forced a trio of three-set matches, but could not grab a victory. Laura Bartingale lost a tough 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 match at No. 4 singles.

Green Bay returns to action next weekend for a trio of home matches, starting Friday against Butler at Four Seasons Tennis Club at 6 p.m.
