GREEN BAY, Wis. - The Green Bay women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision in its Horizon League opener to Butler Friday evening at the Four Seasons Tennis Club.

The Bulldogs took the early lead by taking all three doubles matches for the first point of the day. Emily Lawent and Lauryn Grimando battled to an 8-4 setback at No. 1 doubles.

In singles play, Laura Bartingale split her first two sets, winning the first set 6-4, but could not hold on in a 4-6, 6-2, 10-1 loss. Butler swept the other five matches in straight sets.

Green Bay returns to action Saturday in Appleton, Wis., with a noon contest with Northern Iowa. Green Bay's match for Sunday against Northern Illinois has been postponed due to the recent shooting at the DeKalb, Ill. campus. A make-up date has not been set.
