Women's Tennis Swept by Western Michigan 7-0

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Green Bay women's tennis team lost 7-0 to host Western Michigan Saturday evening. The Broncos took the early lead with a near sweep of doubles play, as Emily Lawent and Lauryn Grimando were able to nab a game at No. 1 doubles before falling 8-1. Western Michigan then dominated singles play, taking two matches by straight-set sweeps. Lawent battled to a 6-0, 6-3 setback at No. 1 singles. Green Bay returns to action Sunday when it faces Detroit in a neutral court contest. |
