
Panthers Land 64 On Horizon League Honor RollJan. 24, 2008 MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee had 64 student-athletes named to the Horizon League's 2007 Fall Academic Honor Roll, which was announced today by the league office. Included in that number are 13 women's track and field student-athletes and eight members of the women's swimming and diving team. UWM's honorees also include seven members of the women's volleyball team and seven student-athletes from men's track and field. There were also five honorees apiece from men's soccer and baseball, four from men's swimmimg and diving, three from women's tennis and two from women's basketball Candidates for the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify: 1) participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season; 2) completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution; and 3) a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) as of Dec. 31, 2007.
