MILWAUKEE - The countdown continues to the first-ever Shooting For A Cure event in Madison later this month.

Shooting For A Cure is set for Sat., May 31, at the Madison Marriott West. This fundraiser, which is shaping up as one of the biggest events in Madison this year, will help raise funds for the American Cancer Society in Wisconsin and share the importance of saving lives from cancer.

The event is being co-hosted by Milwaukee head men's basketball coach Rob Jeter, Wisconsin head men's basketball coach Bo Ryan, UW-Parkside head coach Luke Reigel, UW-Platteville head coach Paul Combs, Edgewood head coach Todd Adrian and their spouses.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event. Visit www.shootingforacurewi.org to order online, or call Hilary at (877) 423-9123, extension 7588.

Lavin just wrapped up his fifth season as an analyst on ABC and ESPN. He worked alongside broadcasting partner Brent Musburger, sharing his perspective on college basketball.
