OXFORD, Ohio - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee diving teams competed at the Miami (OH) Invitational Friday, opening the meet with women's three-meter and men's one-meter diving.

Despite competing with just its diving team at the invitational, the women sit in 13th place out of 16 teams and the men are in 11th place out of 13.

On the men's side, sophomore Patrick Rongitsch was the top finisher for UWM, making the finals and placing seventh overall with a point total of 217.45. That was after placing third in the preliminaries with a total of 259.60.

Freshman teammates Nick DeWitt and Josh Lindquist also dove at the meet, with DeWitt taking 17th in the prelims at 175.55 and Lindquist 18th at 174.15.

The diving team wraps up the weekend tomorrow with women's one-meter and men's three-meter action, with preliminaries in the morning and finals starting at 8 p.m.
