Bohler Breaks Pentathlon Record At Iowa State Classic
AMES, Iowa (Feb. 15, 2008) - Senior Justin Bohler broke his own school record in the heptathlon for the second time this season to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team at the start of the Iowa State Classic Friday. Bohler finished sixth in the meet to pace the Panther men with their highest finish on the day. He tallied 4,995 points to surpass his score of 4,894 he scored at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational earlier this season. Three Panthers also posted top-10 finishes in school history in the 200m to highlight Friday's competition. Sophomore Isaiah Adams took 25th in the event and ran a time of 22.07 for the fourth-best time in school history. Senior Lynn Koepke, who took 39th, ran a time of 22.26 for sixth all-time, while junior Patrick Casey crossed the line in 22.60 to tie for 67th on the day and enter the all-time top list at No. 10. Junior Adam Schleis qualified for the finals of the 60m hurdles Friday, running a time of 8.19 for 19th in the preliminaries. The Iowa State Classic continues Saturday.
