Mongoven Paces Panthers On Final Day Of Sea Ray Relays
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (April 12, 2008) - Sophomore Quinn Mongoven tied for sixth in the high jump to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team on the final day of the Sea Ray Relays Saturday at Tennessee. Mongoven finished with a final height of 6-8 3/4 for his sixth-place showing. Milwaukee had four more top-15 finishes on the day. The Panthers had three 12th-place finishes, including by the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Sophomores Isaiah Adams and Tyler Bucholz and freshman Cory Yttre competed on both relays. They teamed with junior Adam Schleis for a time of 41.96 in the 4x100m relay. In the 4x400m, junior Patrick Casey rounded out the quartet and helped them to a time of 3:12.49. Senior Darren Cole also took 12th place, leaping 48-6 in the triple jump. Junior Sean Jaehnig rounded out the team's finishers on the day. He took 12th in the pole vault with a final height of 14-7 1/4. Milwaukee continues its outdoor season at the Dave Rankin Invitational, April 18, in West Lafayette, Ind.
