Panthers Wrap Up Second Day At Drake Relays
DES MOINES, Iowa (April 25, 2008) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team qualified for the finals of the 4x100m relay to highlight its action Friday on the second day of the Drake Relays. Junior Adam Schleis, a member of that relay, also competed at the Kip Janvrin Open 20 miles away at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Schleis was joined by senior Darren Cole and sophomores Isaiah Adams and Tyler Bucholz in running a time of 41.18 in the 4x100m relay. The quartet placed seventh in the preliminaries to advance to the finals on Saturday. At the Janvrin Open, Schleis placed third in the 110m hurdles, crossing the line in 14.79. Bucholz, Adams, junior Patrick Casey and freshman Cory Yttre formed a 4x400m relay that placed 18th in the prelims at Drake, finishing in 3:13.85. The Panthers wrap up their weekend of competition Saturday at the Drake Relays and Marquette Invitational. The Marquette Invite gets underway at 1 p.m. in Milwaukee with field events.
