May 5, 2008
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Horizon League announced on Monday, May 5 that Jon Durket was named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week after his solid mound work at Youngstown State.
The junior tossed seven shutout innings against the Penguins and allowed only two base runners to reach third base. He fanned three batters in the contest and coaxed three double-play balls out of YSU batters.

In Horizon League games this season, Durket owns a league-low 2.20 ERA in 49 innings of work. He has struck out 31 batters in league action and is holding opposing hitters to a .230 batting average against.
Overall, the junior is 4-2 with a 3.11 ERA in 16 appearances this season. He has started six contests, collected 42 strikeouts and walked only 17 batters in 55 innings of work. The left-hander has tossed a pair of complete games and has the Raiders only shutout of 2008.
