COMPLETE GOLF RESULTS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team sits in 12^th place after posting a 63-over par 351 on Saturday morning in first-round action from the Bethune-Cookman University Spring Golf Invitational in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Stetson University leads the 12-team tournament with a five-under par, team aggregate total of 283 as they head into Sunday's final round.

Lance Holmes led the Rams with a team-low round of 79 as he completed the par 72, 6772-yard course with a round of seven over par.  Holmes closed the front nine with a 40 and came in on the back nine with a 39 as he led all WSSU scorers, placing himself in a tie for 39^th after first-round action.

WSSU's Joshua Sherrell posted a round of 85 on the day as he finished day-one action in a tie for 53^rd overall.  Sherrell posted a 42 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine as he fired a 13-over par.

Kenneth Lathan posted a round of 92; Steven Mason posted a round of 95 and Zachary Yelder turned in a round of 96 to close out the WSSU scorers.

Stetson University leads following day one action as they posted a five under round of 283.  Florida Gulf Coast sits in second place with a round of one under and tournament host Bethune-Cookman sits in the bronze medal position with a round of three over for the day.

Second-day action resumes at 10:00 am Eastern Time on Sunday with all 12 teams in contention for the tournament crown.
