Bethune-Cookman Men Drop Winston-Salem State 6-1 In Men's Tennis :: WSSU remains winless on the season at 0-11 with the loss

ORANGEBURG, SC - The Winston-Salem State University men's tennis team remained winless on Saturday evening in Orangeburg, S.C. as they suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman University, dropping to 0-11 on the season in the process.

The win, the first for the Wildcats this season, marks the 11^th consecutive loss for the Rams as the Rams earned their lone point of the match when WSSU's Brian Coxton defeated Bethune-Cookman's Emil Vassilev 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 in the lone three-set match of the evening.

Despite Coxton's success, the Wildcats would earn victories in the other five singles matches and the three doubles matches as B-CU earned the win.

The loss drops the Rams to 0-11 overall while Bethune-Cookman University improves to 1-5 overall with the win.

WSSU returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 3:00 pm as they face Guilford College at the WSSU Tennis Complex.
