Final Stats
SAVANNAH, GA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (9-7) continued their recent streak with a pair of wins over the Savannah State Lady Tigers, Tuesday afternoon. After opening the day with a five-inning 9-1 win in game one, the Lady Rams followed up the effort with a 9-4 win in game two of the doubleheader. The sweep extended the Lady Rams' current winning streak to three games, one game shy of tying a season-high in consecutive wins.
WSSU junior pitcher Amber Shore (5-2) pitched the Lady Rams to their first win, 9-1. She three all five innings of the mercy-rule win. Game two saw the Lady Rams go all seven innings and hold off the home field Lady Tigers in a 9-4 win. WSSU sophomore pitcher Ashley Boswell (3-2) earned the game two win.
The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when the team heads to Boiling Springs, NC to take on the Gardner Webb Runnin' Bulldogs in a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader.
