March 13, 2008

Box Score

BOILING SPRINGS, NC - A big fifth inning was not enough for the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (9-9) as the team took a 9-4 loss to the Gardner Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (9-11). After allowing seven unanswered runs to the host team in the first four innings of play, the Lady Rams exploded for four fifth inning runs.

WSSU freshman Kayla Woodbury and WSSU junior Amber Shore would both drive in runs to keep things going for the Lady Rams. WSSU sophomore infielder Whitney Hall would keep things going for the Lady Rams scoring a run of her own later in the inning.

Gardner Webb would respond with a pair of runs to send the Lady Rams home with the 9-4 loss.
