Final Stats

NORFOLK, VA - For the second time in the last three games, the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (20-28) were held scoreless as the team took a 1-0 loss to the Norfolk State Spartans (18-31). The Lady Rams managed just three hits in the loss with no extra base hits in the game.

WSSU junior Desiree Ramirez, freshman Bonika Terry, and freshman Kayla Woodbury were the only Lady Ram batters to notch hits in the game with each player going 1-for-3 from the plate in the loss. Lady Ram sophomore Ashley Boswell (8-7) pitched all seven innings for the Lady Rams allowing seven hits and notching five strikeouts.

The Lady Rams will wrap up the 2008 season when they return to Norfolk, VA to face the Lady Spartans in a single game tomorrow.
