GAME NOTES

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (1-3) will return to action for their third home doubleheader of the season when they host the St. Paul's College Lady Tigers, who will be opening their season at South Park Field. The Lady Rams will look to stay hot after a strong start to the season last weekend.

As a team, the Lady Rams are batting .284 to open the season with eight RBI in their first four games. It has been the WSSU newcomers who have led the way for the squad early this season with WSSU junior infielder Whitney Wright leading the way early this season. She opened her WSSU career with a stellar start going 4-of-12 from the plate with a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored in her first four games as a Lady Ram. Freshman Layla Woodbury has also gotten off to a strong start with a 5-of-11 start from the plate with a triple and two RBI.

The Lady Rams and Lady Tigers are set for a 2:00 p.m. start with game two set to start at approximately 4:00 p.m.
