North Carolina A&T Sweeps Lady Rams Tennis 7-0 :: WSSU swept in all six singles and three doubles matches

GREENSBORO, NC - The North Carolina A&T women's tennis team swept past the Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams 7-0 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference tennis action on Sunday afternoon at the Aggie Tennis Complex in Greensboro, NC.

The Lady Rams dropped all three doubles matches as the team of Johanna Nunez/Laken Joyce fell to Jaymee Jones/Winnie Quick by the score of 8-2 in first doubles action.

WSSU's Terese Lavan/Gabrielle Benjamin fell to Danielle McCaskill/Terika Palmer at second doubles 8-5 and Jessica Smith/Jade Heggins fell to Christina Ruffin/Revorn Ferguson by the score of 8-0 at third doubles as the Aggies earned the match's doubles point.

North Carolina A&T swept the six singles matches as the Aggies earned six straight-set victories.

The loss drops WSSU to 0-2 overall while North Carolina A&T improves to 1-1 overall.

WSSU returns to action on Friday, Feb. 8 at 2:30 pm as they face the 49ers of Charlotte on the road in Charlotte, NC.
