CANYON, Texas - On a windy day at Conner Park, the West Texas A&M baseball prevailed in a wild contest with Lone Star Conference South Division foe Angelo State, 19-18.

The opener of a four-game series between the two schools featured 10 home runs and helped to improve the Buffs' overall record this season to 7-15 and its mark LSC South play to 4-12. The Rams, meanwhile, fall to 18-8 overall and 13-4 in league action.

The series continues on Saturday during a doubleheader at Conner Park with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
