Game #1 Recap - (Tarleton State 13, West Texas A&M 5)
Catcher Kevin Els homered and drive in three runs in the second inning as WT jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but it was not enough momentum to propel the Buffs to a victory in the day's opener.

After the three-run top of the inning, the Texans countered with a three-run frame of their own in the home half of the second and took a 4-3 lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth.

A RBI single from Eric Metts and a sac fly from Justin Graham in the top of the fourth briefly recaptured the lead for WT at 4-3, but TSU again jumped in front with a five spot in the bottom of the fourth.

The Texans plated four more runs in the bottom of the eighth to give the game its final score.

Game #2 Recap - (Tarleton State 7, West Texas A&M 3)
The Buffs pushed a run across in the top of the first on a sac fly from Brian Schupp and tacked two more runs onto their lead with two runs in the third to build a 3-0 lead.

The Texans, however, tied the game with a three-run fourth inning and took control of the contest with a run in the bottom of the fifth and three more in the sixth.

Designated hitter Kevin Els and shortstop Darby Walker each collected two hits for the Buffs, while Chris Guitierrez (0-4) took the loss on the mound.
