CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M softball team takes the field for the first time locally today as they host the Holiday Inn/Lady Buff Invitational at Southeast Complex off of Osage in Amarillo.

The Lady Buffs are 7-4 and look to improve upon their program record start against New Mexico Highlands at 11 a.m. and against Southwestern Oklahoma at 3 p.m. Saturday's bracket schedule will be determined by the outcome of Friday's games, with start times as early as 11 a.m.

Twelve teams are set to play in the two-day tournament by pools:
