CANYON, Texas - The West Texas A&M volleyball team finished its regular season with a 3-0 (30-20, 30-18, 30-20) sweep over Lone Star Conference opponent Southeastern Oklahoma, improving to 28-7 overall and remaining perfect in LSC play with a 12-0 record. Freshman Jamie Lakatos collected a team-high 15 kills for a hitting percentage of .542 while sophomore Laura Prinsen finished with 13 kills and a .522 hitting percentage.

As a team, the Lady Buffs had a .375 hitting percentage and held the Savage Storm to a paltry .122.

Game one saw WTAMU take a 12-7 lead with the help of three combined blocks from Melissa Harper and Katie Rickwartz; Harper had a solo block and an assisted block while Larua Prinsen and Rickwartz each added a solo block. Sophomore outside hitter Natalie Johnson notched five kills and Lakatos had four as WT went on to win the first game by a 30-20 margin.

In game two, the Lady Buffs rolled to an early 11-3 lead, forcing a Savage Storm time out, as Rickwartz served on the first four points and picked up one service ace. WT scored the next four points, taking a 15-3 advantage, before the Savage Storm was able to score.

The Lady Buffs held SOSU at bay as sophomore Laura Prinsen notched eight kills, Lakatos had five and Rickwartz dished out a match-high 15 assists to round out the game with a final of 30-18.

In game three, Prinsen and freshman middle blocker Lauren Thedford combined for back-to-back assisted blocks, giving WT a 13-7 lead early on. Setter Teresa Dunn replaced Rickwartz on the court and handed out five assists as redshirt freshman Jessica Tuttle came on strong, picking up five kills, and Lakatos added six more to help the Lady Buffs to a 30-20 victory.

In addition to her 13 kills, Prinsen finished the match with 13 digs as Rickwartz finished with 36 assists and nine digs. Junior libero Sara Contreras added 10 digs; Tuttle ended the match with eight kills and seven digs while Harper finished with seven kills.

The Lady Buffs clinched the Lone Star Conference regular season title with their win over Cameron last weekend and they will host the LSC Tournament on Nov. 8-10 at "The Box."
