SEATTLE, Wash. - Heidi Dimmitt (Jr., Wenatchee) led five Western Washington University event winners, improving her NCAA Division II national provisional qualifying time in the women's 400-meter hurdles at the Ken Foreman/Ken Shannon Invitational Track and Field meet Saturday at Husky Stadium.

Dimmitt was clocked in a personal-best 1:01.69, bettering her meet record first-place time at the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships two weeks ago by .09 of a second.

The Vikings' Keever Henry (Sr., Kelso) won the men's 3,000 steeplechase with a season-best time of 9:36.81, Michelle Howe (Fr., Lakewood) took the women's 100 hurdles in 15.06, Jordan Welling (Fr., Burlington/Burlington-Edison) won the men's 5,000 in 15:03.95 and Kevin Myhre (Sr., Edmonds/Woodway) took the men's 400 hurdles in 54.36.

Western's Megan Zukowski (Fr., Maple Valley/Tahoma) placed second in the women's 100 (12.71) and fourth in the 200 (26.67).

The Vikings' Ryan Brown (Fr., Bellingham/Squalicum) finished third in the men's pole vault (15-4 1/4) as did James Turner (Sr., Gig Harbor) in the men's triple jump (44-1 1/2) and Keith Lemay (Sr., Lynden/Lynden Christian) in the men's 800 (1:53.90).
