BELLINGHAM, Wash. --- Western Washington University junior Kevin Myhre has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Track and Field Male Athlete of the Week for May 4-10.

Myhre, a graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, won the 400 hurdles at the Ken Shannon/Ken Foreman Invitational at Husky Stadium in Seattle on Saturday, posting a time of 54.36, his second-best of the year.

Myhre won the same event in the GNAC Championships the previous week in a personal-best of 53.75, the sixth-best time in conference history.
