A total of 379 student-athletes were named to the fall 2007 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.

BYU led the way with 74 student-athletes named to the team, followed by New Mexico (53), Utah (47), UNLV (43), TCU (42), Air Force (34) and Wyoming (34) and Colorado State (26) and San Diego State (26).

The sport-by-sport breakdown of UW's student-athletes is as follows: Cowboy Cross Country (2), Cowgirl Cross Country (4), Cowboy Football (12), Cowgirl Soccer (11), Cowgirl Volleyball (5).
